        Bleeding that couldn't be explain

A lot of people know the problems I have had,
Here in the last to two weeks I have been in and out of
The hosptial but I don't understand

Last week it was a uti, that's fine I have ,meds I am taking
For that, and that is clearing up what they told me today.

Last night I went for a few hour shopping for my son some things
Before he gets here when I got home I was bleeding like a period,
By the time I got to the hosptial it had stopped but they kept me over
To watch and there was nothing, I know these people thought I was crazy
They did blood work and ultar sound everything looked really good when my
Doctor came in this afternoon he told me he couldn't explain (like it was a nose bleed) what had happen
But if I even spotted to come in or start bleeding again. But I want answers and
They aren't giving me any, I'm very concern. I have had a rough pregnancy this time
And I worry about if something wrong because my son has slowed down and when they checked me I was a tight two cm, but thick when they finish checking me(what does -3 mean after they check you) there was a thick white musuc like on her glove? What was that? Sorry if some of this is too much?

I've Google things and it scares me, that's why I am here
Asking for someone to explain. By the way, I haven't been having
Any kind of sex. Or anything. I've done my bed rest, I'v done just about everything
They have told me to do.

Thanks for the help and taking the time to read this.

You are fine hun. Bleeding sometimes happens for unknown reasons. I'm glad they kept you overnight. I've had patients like this before who have delivered very healthy babies.

You had an ultrasound, it didn't show any bleeding or you would not have been sent home. So, please don't worry, the bleeding may have just happened because you went shopping and were walking around. This happens sometimes. Your cervix, as I have said before, is very vascular, particularly while pregnant, and can bleed easily for no known cause in some women.

Now for your questions. You are a tight 2cm. Which means that you are about 1 1/2 centimeters dilated, which is normal at this stage of pregnancy and does NOT mean that you are in labor. Active labor actually begins at 4cm dilation. Thick... this means that your cervix is not effacing. Your cervix is long and thick, like the bottom of a light bulb. It has to shorten and get really thin, almost like a piece of thick paper (100% effaced). Effacement and dilation happen together. -3 means how far the baby is up in the vaginal canal. This is called Station. -3 is the highest the baby can be. It is still above the cervix. As the baby moves through the birth canal the numbers get smaller... -3, then -2, then -1, then 0 etc. Once the baby reaches 0 station we begin pushing, typically.

Hun, I assure you that you are fine. If you were my patient, and I have had a few EXaCTLY like you, I would have done the same thing your hospital did. Watch you overnight, do an ultrasound, and make sure the bleeding had stopped.

Sounds like you had a scare, and that's all it was to you... a scare. To us this actually happens quite frequently and we, as nurses, go on to help you delivery healthy babies when the time is right.

You don't bother me at all. Part of my job, at work and here, is teaching. This all should have been explained to you before you left the hospital. I never let my patients leave the hospital without an explanation of what happened and what to expect in the future.

It's just cervical mucous. Very common in late pregnancy.

If it is an infection, you may need a different med. Not all meds work on all infections.

I got another question.
Could my hips be spreading
Causing it hurt when I get up and down
And holding my little girl, it bring tears to my
Eyes, it wakes me up at night, like now that why I'm awake

It's possible, but it's more possible that the baby is laying on a nerve.

Ah, I just induced a lady this morning.

You will go to the hospital, get admitted, asked a TON of questions. Then you will get a physical exam, including a pelvic to see how far dilated you are. Then you will be on the fetal monitor for at least a half hour. They will put an IV in you and start fluids. You will then get hooked up to some Pitocin. The amount of pitocin you get per hour will increase rapidly at first, then slowly increase to the maximum level... if you even reach the maximum level. Most women aren't in labor long enough to go that high on the pitocin.

Then voilą... you will have a baby.

You were bleeding because they checked you. The cervix has millions of tiny capillaries and is prone to bleeding when manipulated this far along in pregnancy. As long as it stopped, and there was no abdominal pain involved, you are fine.

I have been having werid feelings
Down there, with sharp back pains,
They come and go as long as I am walking
But as soon as I relax I start having contractions, then I can start walking
And it slows down, I don't know,
I'm so confused,
