    What breed is my mutt?
This is gigi. He is 10 lbs, black with a brown undercoat and white belly, has floppy ears, and a feathered tail that curls upwards. He is sweet and loving but also very playful. Any opinions on his breed(s) are welcome.

Possibly a maltese/miniature poodle/sitzu (they wouldn't let me type the other words) and maybe something else I can't find a name for. Who cares, he is so darn cute ! You must love him to pieces.

He looks a little like Bo, the presidents dog. I think he's Portuguese water spaniel. Maybe he is a mix of that breed.

He looks exactly like my partners mothers dog... she is a Maltese X Silky Terrier. Yes, strange that a white dog and a tan/grey dog would produce that color but it can happen.

There is no way to know for sure but I would put money on there being Maltese in there...

    He's a cutie. :)

I would guess that he is probably a mix of toy breeds like Shazamataz said which comes down to "Eclectic Composite" (What my son decided mixed breeds are after a discussion about "designer dogs").

He definitely isn't a Portuguese Water Dog.

I don't know my dogs breed, :( When I first got Coco I was told that he was a miniature poodle and since he was a present I didn't ask many questions (my mom sent him from Costa Rica). Right now he is 9 months old and a lot of our friends think that he is a hybrid breed. My mom asked the...

Switching my puppy (mutt) to adult food? [ 5 Answers ]

I've been reading about how it's a good idea to switch LARGE breed puppies to adult food at 4-6 months, but I have a 5-1/2 month old Terrier/Chow mix puppy. She's very long and lean (looks like a monkey, I swear!) so weight isn't an issue. Is it safe to feed her the same food that I give my 5 yr....
