Low Profile Toilet Universial replacement guts?
I have in my personal residence a low profile
toilet in each. They are one piece. As in the tank is attached. Both have been having running problems as in the flapper doesn't seat right yadda yadda. I have not replaced the guts of the toilets complete since I have been living here which is 10 years. So I thought why not replace with all new guts and not mess around with it any more. Do it once do it right attitude. I purchased 2 Korky plus Universal toilet repair kits (4010) for $19.00 approx each at Lowe's. The package boasts "stop your leaking, noisy or runnng toilet in one trip".I have a feeling that was my first mistake? So I start reading... drain the tank... then take the tank =off= uh well
no can do! So my question/s is/are.

Is this universal toilet repair/replace the guts kit not EVEN going to work for a low profile one piece toilet?

If not what / where to purchase the right assembly?

Is my thinking right or wrong as in replacing the guts will stop this problem or am I causing myself more problems?

Are low profile toilets OK? worthless? not even good to hold kitty litter?

Should I buy all new toilets then? LOL Heck I don't know. I just want to do it once and right and move on to the next project etc.

Korkey flappers do not fit all commodes, especially one piece commodes. You need to find out what brand of commode you have and but the flapper that was made for it. Why change parts that are not causing you any problems. The parts that you have were made for that commode and any new parts that you buy will be a generic kind and probably will not work.
