Blue screen error.Xp CD dsnt run.
    Hi,

I've Acer Aspire 1410 and I got pre-installed windows Xp in it... got 2 recovery CD's and 1 System CD...

Whenever I turn on my PC... appears acer logo... then it asks me to press F1 to continue and F2 to enter BIOS setup... under that it shows some information like that,

    Mouse initialized error
Resourse conflict – PCI Network controller on motherboard
    Bus:02, Device : 04, Function:00

If I press F1 then it gives options to start windows normally, safe mode, last known good configuration, safe mode with network, safemode with command promt...

I've tried all off them but PC keeps retarting after I choose one of the options... and every time it gives me Blue screen like that,

    Stop c0000218 (registry file failure)
The registry can not load the hive (file): \systemRoot\system32\config\security or its log or alternate.
It is corrupt absent or not writeable.
    Beginning dump of physical memory
    Physicall memory dump complete.
Contact your system administrator or technical support group for further assistance.

On the other hand if I press F2 when the acer logo appears it takes me to BIOS setup... I go to the BOOT and there I choose CD-ROM/DVD Drive and exit saving it... but the System CD doesn't run...

Someone can help me out how I can run the System CD to re-intall XP?

    Waiting for solutions... :(

I would reinstall Windows. A corrupt Registry is a pain to fix otherwise.

You would enter the BIOS set the PC to boot from CD/DVD first. The you put the Windows CD in the drive and reboot.
If you have never made changes to the BIOS before I recommend you get some help from a computer savvy person.
