    Vacation Pay Deduction
    In the state of California, can an employer deduct accrued vacation from a salaried employee if they call in sick? This employer provides no sick pay and there is nothing mentioned about this in the Employee handbook.

    Are you paid for sick days? If not, then yes the employer can do this practice. Especially if this is not addressed in their handbook.
