    Landlord Dispute.
I live in Texas and have received a security deposit that has charges that I am going to dispute in Small Claims Court. Can I cash the check and write in the memo field that this amount is being disputed or should I hold on to the check?

    Hello Darrell:

YOU don't have to write anything on the check... The only time you WOULDN'T cash it, is if HE wrote on the check that it was final payment for everything.

If he didn't, spend your money and sue the SOB.
