    Child custody and witness protection
I live in Maryland. I'm trying to gain custody of my son but his father is in witness protection. I am being told that in order to do so I have to serve papers to him and in order file I need his address. He's using the program because that's a guarantee roof over his head and money in his pocket. He told people that they got the person on some other chargers and that he didn't need to testify. I'm already struggling dealing with my disable son. He owes me $3700 in child support. But he can keep that money if it means him having a physical relationship with his son. And do you know what hurts the most my son calling every male "daddy" bus driver to a cashier in the store. He getting off scott free using the system because he could keep a job. He thinks he can disappear for a year or two and be able to come back to his son who 4 like nothings happen. I know what city he lives in but that's all. Is there any higher authority above the USMARSHALL?

Have you talked to the US Marshal's office? What did they say?

No ill try calling tomorrow if I don't get a response ill write them a letter in which they'll have to sign for it. I've already told him to sign over his rights. Man this is maddness I just want a father for my son or stable positive role model. Should I threaten the us marshall proving I know where he is to get custody that's all I want the child support can go to a charity. I swear I will take this to the media make poster and put missing person in his area or take it to the president.

He can't sign over his rights. Only a court can terminate rights. They may, however, do so in this case, since both the safety of the child AND the parent would call for it.
