I have been married for more than a year now. I live in a joint family. I and my MIL had a fight last December and I went to stay with my parents. My husband was in an other country at that time. After six months and some truce, I have come to live with my husband. We will be returning our country in 3 months. I and my husband have a lot of misunderstandings and arguments. His friend colleague's family live in the same street and they visit us a lot. I and his wife became good friends. I told her everything and she gave me a lot of advice. Everything was OK in the starting. Nowadays I have noticed that she tries to make me feel bad about my husband.She would say something like " I didn't expect him to treat you like this. He is treating you worse than a slave etc etc". She wantedly says something bad about an incident or tries to make a small problem look bigger and makes me feel horrible. She is crossing her limits and taking advantage of my situation and I don't know how to stop her. I don't know how to let her know that she is crossing her limits. Help please.

burberry, you are going to have to take hardline with her and tell her that you will not tolerate her attitude about your married life. That is the only way you can do it unless you want to break off relations with her altogether, in which case, she may become more vindictive.
