I have a friend who has recently told his feelings to his best friend of eleven years. Her response to him is that she is not ready to tell how she feels and she won't say why. He is having difficulties and wanting to move away from his family and friends to just get away from everything. When he has mentioned this she has told him he should come move to Virginia. They both live in different states by the way. He says he doesn't want to push the issue with her so he isn't well, now she has become distant with him and not speaking and he is afraid of losing his best friend. I told him he should talk to her and let her know how its making him feel and maybe she will tell him what is going on and if not just let her know that anytime she wants to talk about it he is willing to listen, but she won't return his phone calls or answer his emails. I just don't know what to tell him. I've had a few thoughts to the reasons but I'm afraid to tell him because I don't want to get his hopes up and then it turn out to be wrong and he ends up disappointed or the other reason which would also cause disappointment. Maybe someone has been in this situation and has suggestions?

Don't guess on the reasoning you may just endup making things worse... maybe you can get her to talk to you about it though
