I like to sing anything my voice can handle. Right now I'm working on a song from the sound of music called "My Favorite Things"

My son is going threw the same thing he is 12. I just don't understand mean kids try and find a close friend and remember it not the amount of friends you have but the quality of a best friend that counts.

    I would do the following:

    1. Talk to your parents about it, and ask them if you can learn some self defence or martial art. Im sure they'll be happy to pay for the fees.

    2. Whenever the idiots talk to you, just say 'Yeah cool, whatever' and feel like you don't care what they think of you so its more likely they'll lay off.

    3. Be conscious of your surroundings, if they still continue to hassle you then just make sure your close to a teachers office or a staff member so they'lll think again.

    4. Never EVER tell a teacher, in my opinion they are bunch of hiposcrits that will convince you to speak with them with any harassment issues but they never do anything about it!! Do they say "If you have a issue come talk to us, but if they harass you and you name call or harass them back, your going to be the one in trouble'

    5. I don't recommend moving schools, you have to prove to them that your not some easy target... don't run away from them. Coz the chances are it might happen at your new school.

    That's all, good luck!

Be suspended for fighting back or get beat up badly. My parents always told me to fight back if i had to defend myself or someone else from physical harm. But see if you can tell a teacher first, the best way to solve problems is without violence
    ABSOLUTELY AGREE. Spot on.

IMO teachers only cause trouble to victims instead of helping them. You must fight back even if the odds are against you. Or you know what? They can't be together all the time and find out when one of them will be alone and get your choir friends to help you and teach him a lesson about bullying. You have to be agreesive, the risk is that you'll be suspended, but worth it.

Clough agrees: That was an incredibly nice thing to say, artlady! Bless your heart and thank you so much!
I am only telling the truth my friend.
I see what you do for so many young people and it is very touching and I know you affect real change that goes on once they leave this site.
    Kudos to you for that!

    Hi again, imepaula!

One thing that would could do is to write a song together that you could sing for church or even elsewhere. I'm not sure what your total musically background is, but I can even show you how to play it!

First, we'd have to start with just the lyrics, though...

    What do you think?

    Thanks!

Oh that sounds cool actually. I have a poem I wrote that I wanted to turn into a song but couldn't because I don't play the guitar or anything.

    Hi again, imepaula!

These sort of things are normally posting the Writing forum topic area. I'll describe how to do that later, and I would really enjoy working on something like that with you!

I can show you how to play basic keyboard stuff. It's really not all that hard! I'm sure that you could do it!

I'm in the process of moving out of my home right now in order to house and dog-sit for some friends. Takes me awhile to move out and get my things set up in their home so that I can function there...

I do hope to be back on here much later tonight!

What is the time zone in which you're located, please?

I'm in the Central Time Zone of the U.S.

    Thanks!

I'm glad that you already play the piano!
