    EISA Partition
    Hallo guys...

I have an emachines E725 laptop.. the system got damaged and I don't have recovery cds . I simply failed to make the recovery CDs because of my ignorance...

The recovery partition is there.. still intact... As I can see it through the listpart command in the msdos..

How do I get to directly access the system restoration files from that partition...

Its an EISA with no drive letter...

    Help please...

I'd call the manufacturer. Better to get what to do from them. That a way if you have warranty, it's still operable. Didn't they give you a recovery CD? Most will send you one on request but I don't know about the eMachines. Good luck

Is it possible to have an external USB 2.0 hard drive, that can be used on both mac and IBM systems. Would need to access the files from either OS. I have no idea about Mac at all, and don't know if Mac can read FAT or NTFS. Any help is appreciated. Many thanks :)
