    Diesel trouble.
I have a F350... I just had it serviced and they found what looked to be paper towels jammed in the air filter... it was blowing white smoke and had almost no power. They flushed the injectors and the mechanic said that if anything got into the turbo it will blow out. It seemed to be running OK yesterday but today has almost no power?? Not blowing white smoke anymore.

Ensure engine oil is full and that the oil and filter have been recently changed. This can affect fuel pressure.

There are a number of diesel-specific links in the Sticky--here's one that may help:

Oil changed, oil and fuel filter changed. I'm worried I did damage to the turbo?

Yes, the turbine blades can get bent, if the air filter becomes restricted. Diesels require a lot of clean, unrestricted air. Sounds like your air intake sucked up towels from the work site or road. That could definitely damage your turbo. Restricted air filters and not using full-synthetic diesel HDEO are the two major reasons turbos fail.

Check for codes, even if the Check Engine Light is not on. One or more may still be stored in memory.
