    Vent pipe
Should a vent pipe go through the roof, or can it vent in the attic crawl space?

    Hi John,

No, the vent MUST either go through the roof or revent back to a existing roof vent. If you terminate the vent in your attic space you leave a direct open line from the city sewer into your house. Sewer gas is a hazard to your families health and the methane content in it is explosive. Good luck, Tom
