Well, I'm sorry if this is long - I'm just confused. It's been a while since I've dated, and I've never been the one to pursue anybody. Also, the opinions I get on this from friends and family tend to go anywhere from "Forget about him, to just call him already!" So I'm hoping to get some objective opinions here. :)

A while back, I started developing a hard core crush on a man who works at the liquor store I go to. After some time, it seemed that the feeling was mutual. Every time I was up at the register, he would run up. Even if somebody else was already up there. He would start giving me little samples of things, and one day seemed hurt when I told him I gave one away *without even thinking it was a big deal*. So after a while of hoping he would say something to me, I got tired of not knowing. So I went way out of my comfort zone, went in went nobody else was there, and asked him if he was seeing anybody. He said no, as he was working a lot at the time. I said "Well, let me give you my number and maybe we could" and he said "hang out sometime". So he quickly wrote down his cell phone number first and gave it to me on his business card. That was a few weeks ago. Now I understood no phone call from him at first, as he was working around 90 hours a week. *He's part owner, and his partner was away*. But I know he hasn't been working like that for a couple of weeks. The week after we exchanged numbers, I went in and he seemed glad to see me - smiled, yelled out my name across the store, and asked how I was and if anything was new - but I felt kind of awkward for some reason, and may have seemed kind of standoffish. Fast forward to this past weekend, and I go in for a couple of bottles because I was celebrating my birthday. He really did seem kind of standoffish, and we didn't really talk. And me being me, took it as he was annoyed that I took his number and never called him. I do tend to over analyze everything.

For some reason, I dread calling him on the phone. My brother calls me a "sissy". :rolleyes: I've been told by one bitter man to just get over it, but I can't seem to for some reason. And trust me - it's driving me crazy! Maybe because I just don't understand why a man would act interested, and then never call a girl who actually had the nerve to approach him. Should I call him, or should I just sit and wonder if he'll call? I'll be activating my cell this week, should I text him when I do and just tell him I have a new way to get a hold of me? I'm driving myself and everybody else crazy! I just don't want something to add to an already long list of regrets!

Yes? No?
I think yes.

If a man is interested and lost your number he would say and get it again.

I'm sure he has some free time...

Don't make excuses for him,if he was into you he would have called by now,move on!

I'm not making any excuses for him. And yes, I'm sure he would ask for it again - but I haven't been in by myself lately. The only times I've gone in, it's been busy.

If it's driving you nuts. Call him.

No one died from a phone call. After all if he doesn't like you and didn't call you for that reason then you'll hopefully understand that when he acts cold or says no to a dinner date.
