Stringer I wasn't sure if you was around to answer that. Sorry to answer anyway. You hadn't answered while I was typing mine out. I apologize for that and for the Bears losing.
Biggest dumbest thing in NFL history with the Bears. Well maybe not in history but still. The Bears did a great trade!

Sorry didn't finish that the Bears trade to Denver giving up Orton and their draft pick for Cutler was just a great decision. Well maybe not at the moment but I think it will pay off.
Did you see the Denver vs. Cincinnati game?
I just caught the end and it was 6-0, Denver with less then a minute to go then cincinnati scored a touchdown and got the field goal making it 7-6, Cincinnati. Then with 20 seconds left I don't know what happened there was 18 seconds added on to the clock and they had to kick it off again. Well the kick off was handled in the endzone and taken out to about the 10 yard line where the player tripped on nothing and fell down. Big mistake.
Ortons first throw is thrown to the sidelines and picked off but thankfully it was called incomplete call. Next play: Orton deep deep ball to the far left and the player is triple covered and it bounces off some of the players and right into the hands of Brandon Stokley where he is wide open and runs it all the way for a touchdown making it 12-7 Denver with a failed 2 point conversion and then there is 11 seconds left on the clock and Then there was an interception for the Broncos and game over. Awesome game!

I know I get depressed every time the Colts lose. I hate the feeling. I hope the Bears win every on for you Stinger. Luckily we don't face each other. Maybe in the Superbowl again though.

It's ok, red. I'm not considering to play American football. In Mauritius, football is considered to be soccer, with the legs only, so yeah... even that, I don't play so often. More of badminton these past few months. :)
Thank you :)

American footbal is one of my pet peeves, simply because its innapropriatly named, I don't get why its called football when as I understand it you only kick the ball once. Its actually a lot closer to rugby than proper football.

It is somewhere in the middle Bear but it's roots are from Rugby. Originally there wasn't even a 'pass', it evolved after the game originated. American Football started in the colleges and then the professional leagues began.
There is great passion for American Football here Bear, many, many fans. Canada has a very close version of American Football also, the CFL. There were even teams in Europe, Spain, England, and some others.
I a nutshell... it is :), mainly whatever you were brought up with. I played in high school and one year in college.

That is one I can not dispute the differences with you on Bear. The actual pigskin ball we play with is called a football in America for some reason. Even though you are right about it only being kicked so many times per game which instead it is thrown or carried. Where as in your game it is kicked and only kicked. Oh well, That is history as we know it and they won't change it now.

Hi Bear! :) And here, most people are fan of Man Utd or Liverpool. Some less, but quite many of the rest, Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona, etc.
I find it strange too, footall is 'foot' and ball, so play only with the foot (or legs). American football could be called american Rugby, because I see it closer to Rugby than football (soccer)

Well put Stringer and I played some ball myself. I never went on to play college ball though. What position did you play Stringer?

Agreed unky American rugby would be a much better suited name for the sport.
I also agree with stringer and adam that no matter what you call it it is still a very popular sport, (we even have an american football society here at uni) and its been called american football for so long there not really likely to change it (although they should :D)
Its just one of those things :)

I like it being called football. I would just hate to hear it called something else after all these years of being called football. It is just to normal now. I am not trying to say anything bad about you guys and your football. I am just saying.

Oh, it's OK Adam, I know when you mention football, it'll be about american football all right. :) No need to say 'ball', I'll understand.
