O.k. let me tell you what has been going on. My husband and I live in a bad part of town, so dealing with some not so nice people is exptected, however what has been going for months now goes beyond that. The area kids who are in a gang have been setting my car alarm off. Keep purposely doing it. We have called the police numerous times, and they can't do a thing about it. A report is taken but that's it. Well this past Monday it got really bad. They set it off 3 times in one day.

First time the kid admits that he was told by his friends the alarm would go off but did it anyway.

The second time the person admitted again they did it and said sorry. At this point of it being done either every day, every other day, every few days for the past 3 months sorries just don't cut it anymore.

Another girl, again doesn't live here, stuck her nose into it and said at least she said she was sorry, in response I said it wasn't her property and she shouldn't have touched and then the it wouldn't have gone off. Makes sense to me.

Within 5 minutes of me being upstairs they purposely set it off again. Well this time my husband had enough. Went downstairs and told them to leave the vehicle alone. Turns around and finds out they have taken our mailbox off the wall.

Mind you this is not the first time. We had letters on the mailbox they picked them off. They have put graffiti on the side within 48 hrs of us buying it.

Well once again the same girl gets involved. My husband calls her a punk. She gets all up in his face to which my husband called her a B*tch. Which sorry she was being one. She turns around goes in my downstairs neighbors house and gets her boyfriend who tells my husband that he disrespected her. Excuse me... she got in his face. They were touching my vehicle and he's the one being disresctful? Anyway to put it short... my husband told them to leave, to which the guy took the mailbox his my husband upside the head, and then he and two others beat him up.

Then tonight we went downstairs and found out they had taken a BB Gun and shot my front windshield twice. We know that first floors teen son, who has flipped us off and given us an attitude, and told us to "bring it" has said gun. We are pretty sure it was him or one of his friends that did it.

As I stated the police have been out here a lot the past few months, but they can do nothing.

This is my question... would what they have been doing be considered an act of terrorism or an act of stalking or something else entirely? We are all in fear of our lives. We don't leave the house unless we know no one is there, and we don't go out alone. We are all basically a prisoner in our own home because we are afraid of what they will do next. Please help. I'm afraid of what will happen next.

I suggest you move out of the area and it is isn't stalking or terrorism, it is vandalism.

Depends on where you live - it can be harassment, intentional infliction of emotional distress and, to the extreme you are experiencing, terrorism. Depends on the State you are in.

As "Tickle" said, it is certainly vandalism.

You could consult with an Attorney and see what your best course of action is.

We are moving out of state. But till then life is just not safe right now. We did report the vandalism, but this just seems to be getting worse and worse. Could the da do anything about it?
