Hello there, I am an 18 year old student from australia wanting to become a police officer. I dropped out of high school at the end of year ten which was 2007 and enrolled at a technical college this year to start and complete my year 11 and 12 which is required to become a police officer. My problem is I am un patient and just want to jump straight in but I am worried that will go through all the medical testing and what not and sucseed, I have made a back up plan to to do a 4 - 6 year apprenticeshipp in mechanics, house painting or smash repair. I am unsure weather I should wait it out and start an apprenticeship so I have something to fall back on or just try straight up for the academe . Would love to read your thoughts and idea's

Well I'm in the us and no nothing of your surroundings but what they want to see is this
Some kind of hand gun training
Voluteering or community work
And you might want to consider military before you go into civil service
