    I'm on felony probation and I'm about to get violated for nothing
    I'm on felony probation(isp) they are violating me for hanging out with my co-defendent who at the time wasn't on probation yet she was placed at the house of the good sheperd, not notifing them with my change of address when I was kicked out of my mothers house Friday at 12am and I didn't get a chance to call Monday and someone said I was hanging out with another person on probation when I wasn't this happened about a month ago and all of a sudden they decided to violate me but the other two probationers aren't getting violated can they do that violate one but not the other if they were both hanging out? the paper work was signed by the judge and the warrants out I was told that they came to my house today but I was in school I have probation tomorrow and I'm scared they are going to take me when I show up there I would like to know if this violation is even worth jail time if even prison and what's the amount of time I could be looking at?? Please help me I'm driving myself nutts

    If the paperwork has already been done and the warrant issued for you, then it is too late to do anything about it. Yes, they can violate you for hanging around whoever they don't approve of or another felon. They don't have to violate everyone if that's your question.

    I don't know how much jail time you are looking at as I don't know what your final disposition paperwork at sentencing said. For instance, you were sentenced to 2 years probation and no jail time. Then if you violated your probation you could very well be sentenced at your probation violation hearing to do the entire 2 years in jail. If you are smart you will get an attorney to help you with this violation.

    Also, not notifying the PO about your new home addess is a violation. You have no excuse not to have called first thing on Monday. There are no excuses. The only excuse that could possibly be acceptable would be you were in the hospital unconscious or dead. Other than that - there are no excuses.

    At the end of the day, they can if they want. And then the judge will decide what he will do about it all.
