Legal Age of Consent in Nebraska
My friend who just turned 16 in February has been having a relationship with a 28 year old man for the past few months, I want to know what the legal age of consent is in Nebraska, and will they get in trouble if someone other than me finds out that they have a relationship? I'm just worried about both of my friends' safety

Yes, it is a crime in Nebraska.

Didn't you post this question yesterday only it involved you and the ages were different?

I believe this has been asked and answered.

But here it is again: "In Nebraska, a person who is at least 17 years of age may consent to sex with an adult. As in other states, however, the age of consent is a complex concept in Nebraska.

Under the Nebraska age of consent laws, a person who is 16 usually can legally consent to sex with someone who is no more than 2 years older. So, a 16-year-old babysitter could legally consent to sex with her 18-year-old boyfriend, but not with her 32-year-old employer. In general, when the older person is in a position of power over the younger one, such as an employer, teacher, coach or religious leader, the age of consent is 18 or even 21.

Under the Nebraska age of consent laws, it is first-degree sexual assault for a person who is 19 years old or older to sexually penetrate a person under the age of 16 years. The penalty for this crime is a period of 1 to 50 years in the state penitentiary."

There is no reason for three people to share an account. It cost nothing to open an account here so you can each have your own name and passwords. This way you avoid any confusion as to who asked what.

Right now I only see 2 posts (the two in this thread) under this name. So please, change the password NOW, and tell your friends to start their own accounts.

I have no idea why 3 people are sharing one account. All I do know is that when the advice was unfavorable, the question was reworded.

You are violating the standards of this site and taking up time and energy from other people.

Just to be fair, what question are you referring to? I did see a question posted by a 38 year old wanting to marry his 17 yr old 3rd cousin. If that's what you refer to, I believe those are separate people.

But I certainly agree that there is no need for people to share an account and every reason for them not to.

No, this was a person who had just turned 16 with a 22 or 23 year old boyfriend, also in Nebraska. I believe the question was about dating and I replied that OP could date anyone but sex is/was a different story.

Of course, I could have early senility.

I couldn't find such a post. The closest I found was different and from a different person. So lets give the OP the benefit of the doubt.
