I live in an apartment complex where I was friends with the downstairs neighbor. He has a bad drinking problem and can be very verbally abusive. I told him I was not interested in being friends anymore because he is so erratic. Since then he has been emailing me, and he even had my cat and would not give it back and emailed me he was going to kill it. I ended up calling the police and I got the car back after I showed them the emails of him threatening to hurt it. Now he keeps sneaking up by my window and calling me whore and . It is very upsetting. I am getting nervous to live here. I also have found out that he is spreading lies to other people who live here. Can anyone help me? I never did a thing to this man, but he is intent on making my life hell.

You have more to wory about than slander (not slander) it is harassment and you need help. Get an order of protection, let your landlord know what is going on and call the cops
