Brand new home - neither A/C units will turn on!
    Hi all...

I just moved into a brand new townhome. We have 2 A/C units outside... they are "Cora" Whisper Thin units.

    I have a LuxPro PSP550LC thermostat.

I have set the thermostat to HOLD on 11 degrees and the fan in set to ON (not auto)

Neither A/C unit will come on - I can visible see the fans and nothing is spinning etc...

It is 27 degrees inside my house (according to the thermo) and I am pissed off grrrr.

I have cheked the circuit breaker - looks fine, even shut it off and on..

When I moved in here, the hydro is in the landlords name and I haven't bothered to call and get it switched over to me yet but I doubt that is what is causing them not to turn on sigh...

Some please help me get these freakin things to turn on.

    Thanks

Well your equipment is new since your town home is new and it is all under warranty. It seems you have tried to do about as much as you can do by making sure it is turned on etc. I suggest you make the proper phone call to landlord to see why you are experiencing this problem. You really do not want to mess around with the equipment especially if it is under warranty since this can cause problems.

    Thanks for your reply.

About 2 minutes after posting this I found a simple lightswitch that is the master power switch for the entire hvac system so everything works now...

Are you located in the USA? I have never seen that setup before.
