Can I use my VA loan entitlement to purchase a 2nd home?
We have a home with a conventional mortgage that is about 45 minutes away from where we want to purchase a 2nd property. We plan to keep the 1st home for ourselves.

If we can use the loan for a 2nd home can we buy a duplex or triplex and live in one of the units?

    Thanks:D

Im like 90% sure that a VA loan must be used for your primary residence.

If you live in the place you buy with the VA, I don't imagine having another property affects that.

If you need 100% confirmation, I have a VA specialist at a mortgage broker that I can hook you up with. She was great when I was getting my VA. Just drop me a private message. :)
