I have a 10 year old Golden Retriever "Male" and 5 year old Chocolate Lab "Male" who seem to be competing with each other on who can pee on the most places in my backyard. They have killed all my Roses, Pee in their own food dishes, side of house (paint is peeling off) and pretty much everything else in the yard.
They get along great other than the pee thing, but if me or my husband are outside they are jealous of each other. ( No fighting)
The Golden started peeing on the garage door because I am in their a lot doing laundry and crafts. He was here first and is my dog.
I heard there is some sort of non hazardous mixture you can make and spray on things that is supposed to stop them. Have you heard of anything that works?:confused:

Are they both neutered?
The 10 year old would to bee old to have the operation done but you might see somebenefit from getting the 5 year old done.

There are quite a few things that deter them from peeing on certain areas of the yard, unfortunately in your case it sounds like they aren't just limiting themselves to one or two spots.

Try going to your local pet sotre (or even some vets sell these products) and get some dog detterants. We have one here simply called "Dog Rocks" They are little pebble looking things that the dogs cannot stand the smell of.

Another alternative is citronella, both candles and oil, they also hate the smell of that.

The "last straw" would be to physically block them off from these areas, and encourage them to use a "toilet box"
I have seen people havea lot of success training their dogs to potty in just one spot in their yard.

You just need a small amount of garden edging and make a box shape on your lawn (a back corner is good) and leave an opening to walk through.

You then just follow the same principle as normal toilet training but you encourage them to use that 'box' on the lawn.
