How to Colour White Hair Red
I am 62 years old and have completely white hair. I loved it for the first five years, but now I am ready for a change. I have never coloured my hair red before and am wondering if red looks good on mature women.

Thank you for any assistance I may receive.

If your not sure how red will look on you, try a wig. At least this way, you can see what colour will suit you best and if red even will suit you. Just try to go for a natural colour, but Don't USE PRERMANENT! Semi permanent is much better for your hair, and usually looks better too

I really think red is too brassy for an elderly woman.I am 55 by the way so I hang with old ladies and some of their dye jobs have been disasters.
It is also hard to dye over white hair as much of the pigment has left the hair.
If you decide to dye any color please have it done by a beautician.
Sometimes just changing your cut to something a little more stylish is enough to make you feel revitalized!

Thank you for getting back to me. Sorry I couldn't answer you sooner, but my computer has been down. Now that I have my computer working my ink cartridge is running out of ink. Oh well! I have been colouring my hair for the last 35 years and could not keep up with it anymore as my roots were coming in every three weeks, so I finally stopped colouring it. I don't think I will colour it right now. My hair is curly white and I have always had it short. I think I will let it grow a little bit and get it styled nice and see what that does for me. I always think women with pure white hair look so nice.

    Thanks again for your help.
