Hi, my first post. So bear with me please.

I am 32 years old, with 4 children. I started taking birth control in December after my youngest turned 1. I took Micronorm for 3 months before being switched by my doctor to Alesse. I took Alesse with no problems for 5 months.

Ok here is where things are confusing me. I had a normal period starting July 29th. I began taking my pills (6th month pack). I had sexual relations with my husband on the 8th of August but I had forgotten to take that days pill and remembered to take it the next morning. On the 9th of August I started my ovulation. Then on the 11th of August I started bleeding. The bleeding started as spotting but then seemed to get heavier. Then it lightened off again, although the bleeding in total lasted 11 days.

I have been to the hospital to get checked out. I was sent for an internal and external ultrasound. Results all negative. I was supposed to start my period on August 26th. It never came. I have taken a home pregnancy test, but it has come back negative.

My confusion lies in the fact that I have quite a few symptoms of early pregnancy. I missed my period, I feel nauseous sometimes, I am peeing frequently, and I am tired a lot.

I have 4 children already and out of those 4 only once was a home pregnancy able to give me a positive reading. I went to the hospital again today and the urine test they had said negative but the lab tech gave me another test to bring home to take first thing in the morning (as I took the test there around lunchtime).

Please if anyone has any info or help they can offer, I would appreciate it. Thank you so much.

Sorry just to clarify why I went to hospital instead of doctor. My doctor is leaving his practice, and no one will be taking over for him. I tried but failed to get an appointment. Their nurses are all booked up, and the walk in clinic is closed. I just don't know where else to turn.

OK this can be delete, I still haven't gotten a period but blood test came back negative. So they think it is just my hormones out of whack.
