    Loud cracker like sound from AC
    L have a 1.5 ton OGeneral AC which was working fine. Since last 1 week there comes huge cracker like sounds when compressor kicks in or intermittently. Has the compressor got damaged. Any way to cheok it or rectify this problem

    Noises of this nature are very difficult to advise on since we are not there to actually hear it. I would suggest you contact a HVAC company local to you for a ON SITE inspection. This way they can here the noise first hand and find out exactly where it comes from and if any damage has been done.
