    Wisdom tooth
    Hello:)

Recently my last wisdom tooth came in. But the thing is my wisdom tooth came in with only 2 crowns and a hook, one of the crowns is broken or did not form right and catches my tongue or my inside cheek. Also I believe it is hollow, I mean that there isn't much in the center. I am afraid that I have a exposed nerve.

Years ago I had 4 extractions, and I did not feel my wisdom teeth coming in at all. I have never had a tooth ache before. But this wisdom tooth came in and my mouth is KILLING me!

It's my right upper, and its causing my right jaw an enormous amount of pain. It even leads up into my temple. I feel as if I have a severe head ache.

Due to the economy, I do not have Health Insurance. So I can not go and see a dentist, or can not afford to see one with out insurance.

Is there anything I can do myself that will help me out with this excrusciating pain?

It's got to the point where I can not sleep. Which is making me suffer in normal activities, and work.

    Thank you so much:)

You need to see a Dentist - no one on this site can help you with this type of pain.

Is there a Dental School near you which might do the work at no cost or low cost or a hospital dental center in your area?

It sounds like you have a partially erupted wisdom tooth. When the tooth doesn't erupt all the way into your mouth and it's kept clean under the tissue you can get decay. You probably have a cavity in the tooth.
You need to have the tooth removed. As Judy says, check for local dental schools. It won't be free but it should cost less than seeing a private dentist.
You need to deal with this soon so you don't get an infection where your face will swell up and you'll need to go on antibiotics before they can take the tooth out as it's difficult to get a good freezing if there is a lot of infection around the tooth.

How would I find a local school? I tried Google, and nothing came up for me.

I remember my mom taking my brother and me to a junior college near where I used to live and one of the dental students there took x-rays and cleaned our teeth. You might want to look into regular colleges and junior colleges in your area and see if any of them have dental programs.

    Thank you so much flossie!

I called the school today, and I asked about the fees, and I still can't afford it. I live paycheck to paycheck.

I don't know what I can do, but this pain is killing me!

I have been taking alieve but its not helping.

What made my tooth this way? I brush in the morning and when I wake up, I floss, mouthwash, I even have a waterpik(but I don't use it often). Never had a cavity, I have straight teeth! I have no clue why it's like this.

I took some pictures, they were hard to take so they may not be the best.

This one you can really see the "hook" I mentioned

On this one you can see why I think its hollow, and you can see that there are no other crowns except the two.

If those pictures do not come up for you try these, still in the same order.

Definitely looks like decay to me. Not much to do I'm afraid, but to have the tooth removed.
