This is my first time installing a thermostat. I have 5 wires but I am not sure where each wire goes. There is a white, green, blue, yellow and red wire. Please tell me which port each goes to... I am trying to install a rth110b

First,, you should have marked,tagged,or drawn a diagram of how the wires came off the old tstat,but now I guess its to late,,

First thing kill the power/breaker to furnace in the off position


So if wiring was installed as per rule of thumb (the correct way),, it should be red to r,, white to w,, green to g,, yellow to y, and a jumper from rh to rc, and looking at the instruction sheet I don`t see a place for the blue wire as there no post for common,so just tape the blue off and out of the way,,
