Grohe faucet handle removal
Kitchen prep sink faucet has two handles. No removable caps to get at screw to remove handles. How do you remove the handle(s) to fix a leak coming from the faucet spout?

Unfortunately no, afaroo, you, and me are all in the same boat.
No one can go any farther, until joe2know comes back to properly ID the faucet.
I know of an old tradition, that if you shout in the direction of the person your trying to contact. They'll get back to you. ;) Ready... One... two... three...

Hello everyone,
I have a Grohe Europlus Kitchen Faucet that has lost water pressure. The flow is very very slow. I am assuming something is clogged within faucet, therefore I would like to take it apart, but cannot seem to find a way to do so. Any help is appreciated.

Ok,now I see your link... It is Grohe Europlus 33 853 unit.
The cap on top of the faucet SNAPS in and out. Take skinny flat screwdriver, or utility knife, place it in the groove and gently prey it out. Once removed, there is a large brass screw that will remove the handle.

It looks just like that, but white. Also, it has a removable spray handle. The hosue is about 20 years old, so I am assuming the faucet is about that old also.

Hello again,
Thank you for your help. I got the handle off and seem to have localized the problem in the process.
I would like to remove the entire faucet now because it seems that my vacuum breaker may be the problem and it seems I need to remove the faucet to get to that bad boy.
How do I go about removing it?
Can I just pop this faucet off or must I get below the sink and unscrew everything?

Also, I am attempting to remove a cylindrical piece from the metal pipe that is connected to spring pipe (the pipe that goes to the head). I looked inside the piece and I can see some sort of plastic device inside. It looks to be some type of flow regulator. Anyhow, I cannot get this metal piece to come off... I can twist it, but it will not unscrew. I am assuming that it is some type of pop-on piece. Anyone know how to get this off?
Thanks

Hello again,
Here is a pic of the metal piece I was speaking about earlier. Also, I included a picture of the inner plastic piece. This piece will turn but will not unscrew... I am assuming it pops on/off but cannot pop it off. Also, I have heard that people will drill through this piece to get the flow back. Thanks again for the help in advance.

That's a back-flow preventer. The bottom portion of that cylindrical piece spins around while the upper half should be screwed in and feel solid.
You will need 2 channel locks to unscrew it. Gently put on set of channel locks on the enlarged piece of chrome pipe - just above the fitting. That's the only place you can grab it. Use the other set of channel locks to unscrew the non-moving upper part of the back-flow preventer. Be careful so you don't twist the solid piece of pipe it is attached to.
This is an old design. Nowadays they make it Snap-in and hand tighten. You will be working in very tight place - so be patient. Once you break the grip, you will be able to use only one set of channel locks to finish removing the entire back-flow preventer.
Let me know how you did. Milo

Hey Milo,
The entire cylindrical piece turns but does not come loose when twisted. I do not see any other point of separation on this piece. The lower portion of the piece has dents for a wrench whereas the upper potion is entirely cylindrical. I thought that maybe this was a point of separation, but after using a channel lock to grab the top piece and another to grab the bottom and twist, it would not budge. Is it possible that this piece is the pop off type you spoke of earlier?
Thanks again
