(GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG ASK ME HELPDESK!)
How is everyone doing today? I had kind of a long night and I am setting up for another one so I am trying to take it easy and have my body recover...
And Ughh as far as coffee goes, I can't stand that stuff. I have tasted the majority of it, the frapaccion's, capacinio's, different bean blends, and I just can't stand it. Coupled with the fact that I hate monopolizing companies, I have a strong disdain for starbucks. However, when I was in seattle, I was visiting the space needle and our tour guide, coincidentally, is the niece of the founder of starbucks and gave us the whole detailed version of exactly how the money grubbing idea began. Apparently a man had a great business idea of having a store that had a great number of coffee beans on sale, an absolute huge variety, well unfortunately that business went under, and was bought by her Uncle for a really really sad price, I mean absolutely low, can't remember the figure, but nothing compared to what the Uncle was going to make on selling the coffee. Anyway, he had the idea to add hotwater and sell coffee, well that business exploded and years later it has transformed into one of the many money-grubbing large coporations that single-handly destroy the american dream as we know it.
Well I hope you guys have a good day... damn starbucks...

Community Coffee is probably my favorite brand, but they don't sell that around here so I drink Folger's ;)

I have a question do you drink coffee for the taste, or the boost you get?? And as for hot drinks, I am a sucker for hot cocoa.

I think it's a bit of both, coffee doesn't wake me up as much as a nice cup of tea does. I can add flavor to coffee with creams and sugar; hot cocoa is great, I like adding a few mint leaves to mine, nice addition to a cup of goodness.

Yeah hot cocoa is great, it is one of those few things like soup, that sort of soothes the entire mind and body. I usually make mine with milk as I feel it gives it a more creamier taste than it's water alternative...

Right, the packages always say to use water to make it (hot cocoa) but milk is best.

Coffee black and strong to get at least one eyelid open in the morning. That was the routine for decades but since I don't work now, then I've switched to decafe, and still love it. Sometimes I add a pack of hot chocalate to the coffee mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Smells good too!

Hey wizz, isn't the starbucks guy living the american dream?? Wish I could...
Ok try this for all you fresh bean grinders... Soak your beans in cold water overnight and then grind them in the morning... It gets rid of any bitter after flavor. It's called cold water extract. Give it a try.
