To get out of a year lease
We just moved in 2 months ago, was told there isn't a problem with pest or insects, the neighbors are quite, it's a great apartment never had a problem with anything. So my husband and I signed a year lease thinking this was a great place for us to raise our 5 month old baby. After living here for 1 month, The neighbors partied every weekend, all weekend, yelling, banging, keeping me up until 4 in the morning, my baby wakes up at 6:30. After 3 weekends in a row, I called the landlord who told me to call the cops next time. The following weekend I had to call the cops two nights in a row. Also there were ants crawling in the cupboards, floor counters, every place it's disgusting, we let the landlord know, she put drops outside, we had to buy traps and raid. Just when we thought we had that under control, I saw a mouse run across the kitchen floor, I called the landlord, then pest control. Pest control came put traps we caught 4, the landlord patched up holes in the cupboards. Some how the mice are getting up through the floor behind the fridge too, anyway we thought that was taken care of, now after a week, I was cleaning my child's toy box, and found earwigs, then spotted another mouse, searching every trap, I found 3 dead mice on a sticky trap, plus the one running loose in my apartment. Under my stairs outside the neighbors have been putting their garbage there and not out by the road garbage night, it stinks and is gross. I don't know much about breaking a lease, but I know this isn't a good place to raise a child and would like to know how we can get out of the lease without paying for 10 months.

I don't think your chances are good. The landlord seems to be responding to your complaints. Unless you can get the health or building inspectors to declare the place unfit, then you have little grounds for breaking your lease.
