    Background check and fingerprinting
I have been in mortgage banking for 25 yrs and managed never to give finger prints or a background check till recently. I have felony charges from when I was a kid in 1978, and 1981 which was the last time I was arrested.
I recently had to go through my first background check (assuming it was over the last 10yrs) and I apparently passed in flying colors. For a new job they want fingerprints, and I have a feeling I am going to lose my job. I am curious how far back fingerprinting goes. Do I stand a chance or am I screwed for this job/ Thanks.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell u that about 12 yrs ago I wnt to court to have this info erased, the best I got was that I no longer legally have to disclose this info unless I run for office or apply for any licensing, I forget the legal code. Does this help?

    Hello b:

Sounds like you got things expunged... That DOES help. Can they still find it? They can? Will they? I don't know.
