Maytag Refrigerator not cooling all the time
I have a Maytag refrigerator model MSD2556AEA and I got it used. The circuit board for the water and ice in the door has been removed. I don't care about that but the problem is that when I first plugged it in, it started right up and seemed fine. The freezer got cold enough to make ice and the refrigerator section was cold also. The problem is that the next day, it was warm in both freezer and refrig areas. I turned both levers in the frig section all the way down, (only the freezer section has an off listed) and back up and shazam, the frig was up and running again. But this little scene keeps repeating itself over and over again. I think a couple of times it has cycled on its own, but generally I have to either turn it all the way off and then back on or at least down a little bit and then back up and it will start back up and get things real cold again. If I can fix this with a relatively inexpensive part, I would be happy to do that. If you are familiar with Maytag fridges and have an idea as to what the problem is, I would really appreciate hearing back from you. Thanks

I have a Maytag side by side and the refrigerator isn't cooling. The freezer is cold but has a big icebuildup in the bottom. Also the icemaker is wooring poorly and the spindle thing is frozen in. I checked the fan and it is working. I emptied everything out last night and let it all thaw out....

Our Maytag refrigerator is at a temp of 50 degrees and will not get cooler regardless of the setting, the freezer seems to be working OK. Any suggestions?
