    Doggie stroke?
My 2 year weeny dog seems to have lost her balance, or coordination in her bottom half... she also seems to be leaking urine. I don't know if she ate something bad or maybe she had some kind of stroke. All the vets are closed right now. Does anything sound familiar to anyone? Please Help

    I'm assuming you mean Dachshund.

Dachshund's are prone to back problems, it's a genetic defect that sadly is being passed down because of all the backyard breeding and puppymills.

It could be her back, it could be a stroke, it could be something she ate. Sadly, no one here can give you a definite answer, only a vet can do that.

Take her in first thing in the morning.

    Good luck.

I had to spread the rep Alty but that's sounds right to me.

Back injuries can cause all of the things described by the OP.
The off balance, the leaking urine...

Definitely needs to get to a vet as soon as they are open.

The only thing I don't think it would be is something she ate, that would not cause her to become incontinent.

Keep her laying down if you can ,don't encourage her to get up and move.If she is used to climbing stairs to be with you ,try to stay with her and keep her from moving too much.

Put a pad under her for her leaking and her give her fluids. Put the bowl up to her to see if she wants to drink.

    Try to keep her calm.

She may have thrown out her back and that will cause incontinence.

What you describe is not conducive with anything dietary. It is not about what she ate.Her symptoms don't point that way.
