    Aim disconnecting
    Hello I am a university and am on a lan connection... about 2 or 3 weeks ago my aim started to disconnect me... at first it was just after I was idle for a long period, now if I am away from my computer for like 2 minutes I get disconnected... I have ran spy-bot, ad-aware, and my virus scanner... please help

    HI,
    Have you checked your NIC or wireless card settings?
    They might be set to disconnect when idle.

    Thanks for posting a reply... I have know idea what I am doing when it comes to computers so I don't even know how to check those... I had a couple of my friends check my computer and they may have fixed it... I'm going home this weekend so I won't know if it is fixed till Monday... I'll post on Monday evening either way
