    I am needing to move a toilet about 2 feet in a direction away from where it is now and away from the stack. Current setup is a 4" CI main stack with an L shaped 3" drain for the toilet. Toilet is about 2'x2' L.

    Can I t into that L and cap it? Can I make a new L and t into the main stack above the current T?

    Reason is the current T has many other drains going into it and I do not want to get into all that if I can.


    Just to clarify... Toilet is on a 2'x2' 3" branch that goes directly into the vertical 4" CI stack.

    Trying to find a way to repurpose that L branch or tie into it if that will work with code and function. Possibly a T or Y off the original L shaped branch that will simply be capped off in the end. Not sure if that type of junction or bend is legal in a branch.

    That didn' clear things up too much, The way it reads you have a 24" X 24" X 3" fitting thats just gotta be a tee going into the 4" stack.
    Please "dumb it" down for me. What are you trying to tell ne and why can't you remove the old closet bend and come off stack to the new location ? Talk to me, Tom
