Fix or replace Hampton Bay remote unit
    Hi All,

I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan/light combo. This week the controls for the light have stopped working, but the buttons for the fan are in perfect working order. I want to know if there is a way to fix the remote so that both features work, or if I just need to replace the whole thing. If I need to replace it, can you give me a tip on where to do this? I have searched all over the web and can't find a replacement remote for the fan/light combo.

    Thank you.

Don't know if you can fix it, but HD has generic remote kits for ceiling fans. I had the same thing happen to me and the fan doesn't have pull strings so I was in the dark.

At this point you don't know if it a bad transmiter or receiver and repair is usually not possible. Do you have pull chains? We must be sure one of these fixtures is shot before buying both replacements.

Have you checked the bulb(s) themselves?

I'LL BELIEVE IT WHEN YOU PROVE IT TO ME.

To deal with the original poster's issue.. . Does the fan have pullchains? Does the LED light on the remote when you attempt to control the light?
