Extending Furnace exhaust pipe through roof
We just finished building a twenty degree roof on our trailer and need to extend the furnace pipes.

The circumference of the exhaust pipe is 5¼" but Rona and Home Depot have 5", 6" or 8".

Where would I get pipes to extend the exhaust through the roof. I need a 5' length of pipe at 5¼?

I apparently have a leak from the second floor roof. Roofer says it is the plastic boot which is about 8 years old and probably has a crack in it. The cost he quote to replace al 4 boots was about $900. That seems high to me. He said he would replace with an aluminum boot. Thanks.

My house is 7 years old. Our furnace is in our basement and the exhaust pipe runs from the basement, up through the first floor, on into the attic, and out the roof. Furnace exhaust pipe length [ 1 Answers ]

The furnace exhaust pipe (2 inch PVC) currently comes straight out of the back of the house about one foot. Can a 45 degree elbow be added to the end to vent it either up or down without causing any problems? Also, does it need to extend out of the back of the house by a certain number of inches?
