    Home builder contract
We recently built a home that has had many issues from air infiltration, frost on walls, and a very undersized main floor. I have been in model homes from this builder and also a family home that they built that was the same floor plan but our was 200 square feet larger. My home doesn't compare to these homes at all. We have had experts come in and give our builder copies with ways to repair the problems and still nothing. Is there anything that protects a person building a home from builders without spending thousands of dollars for an attorney?

Hi Leah4. One start is the better business bureau to file a complaint They can be moderators between you two.

You can also check with them to see if they anything may have been filed with the attorney generals office.

My first suggestion is read the guarantee and see what it covers.
Second write a formal complaint in letter form and send it registered to document the problem. Then a dearly can't be used as a " reasonable amount of time to address the problem"

I didn't realize answering your other post all these other problems were going on. Now wonder the builder is blowing you off to address the bouncy floor.

from air infiltration, frost on walls,
Frost on any walls is a very serious thing here and more so then the floor if too much time pass by. Mold in walls.

Its time to call an attorney. The buiulder will keep blowing you off to get past the gauntree because its more then bouncy floor joist that needs fixed here. The insulation ( frost on walls ) could turn into removing all the exterior siding or interior drywall if let go to long. If the insul is damp that needs replaced and Higher (R) vaule. And good vapor barrier
