Im having cra,py ontraction feelings and they feel pretty regular but still irregular. I don't know if that makes sense but I was watching the clock for about a half an hour now and it goes from 5 min apart ro 8 min apart to 6 to 7 and I don't know I'm kind of nervous. :eek:

Since you are 37 weeks, I'll ask you what I ask my patients.

1) Have you had sex within the past 12 hours? Sex can cause contractions.
2) Have you been drinking a lot of water? By a lot I mean up to a gallon a day. Dehydration can cause contractions.

Now, since they are irregular, I recommend drinking a lot of water, not chewing ice, taking a warm bath, and tylenol every for hours, and lay down (get some rest0. This should help decrease the contractions.

Do you properly know how to time your contractions? You time from the beginning of one to the beginning of the next one.

When they stay 5-6 minutes apart for about an hour you should probably go on to the hospital.
