    My craftsman 917252590 riding deck belt
    The old belt was popping off truck every 3-4 min,thought was worn out ,got an oem one replaced it,put the deck back, routed correctly, put the deck back,the electric pto engages but the belt is loose and cannot turn the blades instead is slipping loose, the tensioner pulley moves only in away that the belt gets more loose,am I missing a spring or other adjustementof the belt, I looked the online manual and there are no adjustment info, anyone has any tips ? Thanks

    Hi,
    I put up a picture. The #56 should be a stepped spacer that the #55 bracket pivots on. What I have seen is corrosion preventing it from pivoting freely. It should be disassembled, cleaned (bracket, spacer and washer beneath) and coated with anti-seize compound, if possible, before reassembly. Do make careful mental notes about the pieces before and during the disassembly to get it back together correctly.
