    Lease/contract information
    In Michigan, is a contract or lease binding before it is signed by all parties that are involved in the lease or contract? Can a lease/contract be in force at any time before it is signed?

    The only way a verbal agreement can be valid concerning rental of property is if the time is less than one year. If the lease is for one year or more then it must be in writing to be legally enforceable.
