I CANT gain weight! I hate myself
Hey, my name is roger and I am 16 years old. Today I weight 126 pounds. I am desperate for help. I've tried everything I could think of. I am sick of always being called skinny. It depresses me. I've been thin all my life but I am starting to feel sick, not physically but mentally. I HATE HOW I LOOK. I can't sleep at night. I can't stand looking in the mirror. I can't wear a nice shirt without looking scrawny. Ive tried working out but I just can build muscle. Getting an ounce of muscle to me seems like reaching up and touching the moon. And on top of that I'm not a person to eat a lot. I don't have a big appetite. I could easily not eat breakfast or lunch and just eat an apple the whole day and not feel so hungry. I can't afford going to a gym. Plus I don't think there's a point to it. I hate myself, I hate myself!! But I am willing to listen and put the out most effort to gain weight. I would love getting to 145 pounds.
I can do pull ups, chin ups, and push ups. Stuff I could to at home.
But I really need guidance. A program that will work.
I need someone to tell me specifically how many and how many sets of push ups and excetera to do a day. And how often and how long. Whichs days and anything else that will help me gain weight. Whatever plan you can give that you think will work I will try it.
But I need specifics so that I don't make a mistake.
I need to build muscle! Or I'm going to end up doing something stupid. Someone please help me. You tell me what to do and ill do it. Whether its 100 push ups a day or 5 push ups a day. I just need to know. If you can also give me an estimate of how long will it take to see progress it would be great. Just so I can get inspired. How many calories a day should I eat and anything like that. Even if I'm not hungry I will force it down. PLEASE HELP ME

    How tall are you?
    5' 3'' wouldn't be skinny but 5' 8'' would be skinny.

You have a fast metabolism and someday you wll wish it was still that way.

One thing that I know helped me increase my appetite and gain weight when I lost too much was taking a good multiple vitamin everyday.

    Yeah that is rather skinny.
Take the multivitamin and eat healthy.
It will help increase your appetite

**Also if you exercise you might want to check into taking creatine and or whey or protein drinks

    Hi, almostbutno!

Even if you don't feel like eating, here's a way to think about food as something that you need to ingest in order to gain wait and be healthy. I also, don't have a big appetite. One meal a day is about it for me. I have to force myself to eat anymore than the little that I do eat.

Please think of your food as being your medicine. That's what I have to do. I've even been hospitalized a couple of times for not eating enough.

Once you start to eat enough of nutritious things and be very physically active, it's likely that you'll gain some appetite too.

    Just some thoughts for you...

    Thanks!

Taking creatine is a good way to start. Also, going jogging everyday should help. Start with a time limit of how long you think you can jog for straight and trying to push it further each week. I have friends that are in sports and usually that's what they do when they need to gain weight. Along with lifting, and doing other work out like push ups and sit ups. Just push yourself and every week add more to what you normally do. Its going to take awhile before you see any difference though!
