    Lights and outlets same circuit
    Will code allow putting cabinet task lights and outlets on same circuit?:confused:

    If the cabinet lights are over a kitchen counter, then the answer is no.

    Kitchen counter receptalces are considered as small appliance circuits, and are dedicated for that purpose, and no lighting is allowed, per code.

    To clarify, this is for hardwired fixtures. There are plug in type lighting kits that are mounted under upper cabinets, and get plugged into the counter receptacles.
