Is menopause postponed if you've been pregnant. A lot?
So... we have all heard of the 17 and pregnant again thing family... and I was wondering... If a woman is pregnant over and over again- therefore not dropping eggs- will her menopause be postponed to where she could have a natural conception very late in life? I am under the understanding that menopause occurs when a woman's body begins to run out of her supply of eggs. What do you think?

If your tubes are tied it doesn't cause you to have an earlier menopause so I would say I doubt it

Maybe very fertile, get pregnant easily, women are simply fertile longer.

But like... if you're pregnant say, 10 times... that's 120 eggs you've held onto, or, essentially almost 10 years of no ovulation... so would a woman who should have menopause at 45 have it at 55?

How does 10 pregnancies equate to 120 eggs?

I think that would be hard to determine.
Hopefully J_9 will see the post and reply she most likely will know.

Don't women drop an egg every month?

Typically we drop one egg a month. One month from the right ovary, the next month from the left ovary. Now, this is not written in stone and is different from woman to woman.
We are born with millions of eggs. Through time they lose their ability to turn into babies. Thus menopause.
That's just an easy, unscientific way to describe it.
