    Appliance Lemon Law?
Is there a Lemon Law in place for appliances?. I have had an LG dishwasher that has had the pump replaced 5 times. The motherboard twice, the soap dispenser 1x, the hose 1x and the heater 1x. LG replaced it with another unit that does exactly the same thing (does not wash the dishes) and in one month, the motherboard, hose, and pump have all been replaced.

    Hello again, b:

Well, at least in THIS question, you included some valuable information...

Like I said in one of the other questions, it depends on your state... But, if it does, I'll bet it would be similar to a car lemon law... As such, a car isn't declared a lemon until the dealer has had ample opportunity to fix it, and can't.

It looks like the dealer you bought your dw from is attending to your needs. If he fails, there IS a Warrantee of Merchantability that you might make use of. All states have that. It's kind of like a lemon law, in that you are guaranteed that an item you buy is fit for the purpose for which it was intended...

If you reach that point, sue them in small claims court using the law I cited above. Don't do it too soon, because you won't win... In other words, the judge will give a LOT of leeway to a dealer that is TRYING to fix your dw.

Sorry, am new to this site and wasn't sure how to post the remaining info because I accidentally submitted before I was finished. I do, however, appreciate the response and info.

I have a side-by-side fridge that I paid about $1000.00 for five years ago. It is made by a big name company. Ihad to have it worked on once before, now the same repairman is telling us it is a lemon. Iknow that refridgerators can last for years and should last for years. And a friend who teaches...

I recently purchased a ken-more elite chest freezer. I have had service men attempt to fix it 5 times. How many repairs for the same problem before I request a replacement.
