Is there any possibility that I can go to college?
I don't have one but there is a very strong possibility that I will become a felon for a drug charge I got when I was 17,Im now 22.

I am really trying to get my life together. And is wanting to get in school. But I won't be able to pay out of pocket. Does anyone know if there are any grants or scholarships that will help a felon with a drug charge? I know that other felons can but people don't seem to know about a drug felon. If not will I be able to apply for student loans?

Can anyone tell me some good news?

    Your posts should be combined.

However - I know of no programs that assist with legal fees other than the usual legal aid programs.

I realize you say you are trying to get your life together but it appears that you have just been arrested for DWI. https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/crimin...wi-387721.html

There are no special grants or scholarships for felons. As far as being admitted to College, I see no problem UNLESS you are studying to enter a profession for which you must be licensed and for which you cannot pass the background check.

I would suggest talking to the financial aid advisors at the college you wish to attend. They would be able to give you more insight, and possibly open up a few options that wouldn't be available otherwise.

Also, what do you mean when you say you may become a felon from a drug charge that happened 5 years ago, when you were a minor? It should already be against your record if it was going to be.

Did you read the other thread? I posted the info.

Appears that this is some sort of probation, "stay out of trouble" situation and the OP has been arrested again.

I'm still not sure how it could not be against his record already. I'm used to probation coming AFTER conviction and something being put on the official record. Any offenses that happen during probation are separate charges, on top of the 'violating probation' charge.
