And actually, it's fairly common in young people your age to experience such a "reversal" in sleep patterns, which is to say that you prefer sleeping during the day and are actually more active and alert at night. Now, if you wish to try to reverse some of that, and if you're still in school it's probably not a bad idea, then a few suggestions are in order ; avoid caffeine in the evening, avoid heavy exercise or physical exertion in the evening (actually, late afternoon has been shown to be the best time for exercising), spend as much time outdoors during the day as possible (take precautions, obviously), don't eat or drink within a hour of bedtime and try a warm shower or bath right before retiring. Stick to a diet of complex carbohydrates (fruits, vegetables, whole-wheat grain products) and lean meats and fish high in protein and drink lots of water.
