    How do I tell if a wire required for service entrance is UV resistant?

    I have never had a problem with THHN/THWN for the Service conductors, Don't know what would be better or cheaper.

    Any insulation rated 'Sunlight Resistant" is UV resistant.

    The cable must be marked "UV resistant" or "Sunlight resistant". Typically carbon black insulation is sunlight resistant.
