Husband doesn't love wife, wife wants him out
A friend of mine told his wife that he doesn't love her anymore. They have two children (one has cerabal palsy). The wife wants him out of the house, but he wants to stay to help with the house, kids, etc. He definitely doesn't want to leave on bad terms. He just felt that he couldn't NOT tell her how he felt. He felt that that wasn't fair to her.

I'm afraid that if he leaves it will be considered abandonment in the court's eyes and once that happens he will be treated unfairly. He lives in Michigan by the way. Should he stay or move out? What are the legalities of the situation?

    No it isn't considered abandonment

If they can not go to counselling and work things out then he can move out and they can work out a divorce and child custody and support issues.

Love is about commitment it isn't about love feelings. He really should consider going to counselling and try pinpointing WHY he feels he doesn't love her anymore. It could even be a medical problem with him.

I only have one post - once I posted it under marriage I got a message saying that it should be posted under family law, so I unsubscribed from the marriage forum and kept my question in family law.
